A Choice to Change the World

This is the new entrance board for White Hall. On the heels of the “I AM Trayvon Martin” phase of our campus and the AUC, I wanted to encourage my residents to define themselves not as others, but as themselves influenced by the lives and actions of others. On the board I have various names of Black men and women who have been influential in their own way - from the deceased Sean Bell, Troy Davis, and  Trayvon Martin, to living legends such as Barack and Michelle Obama. My goal is for this to be a conversation starter, not only about the influence of some of the lesser known names present on the board, but also about the future my residents want to make for themselves and their communities. This is the new entrance board for White Hall.
